Years ago and even to this day, golf clubs were and are sold already built. Customers would buy them right off the rack, even though they might have been too long, too short, wrong flex, or even wrong lie and wrong size grip.
The customer never really knew this.

It's pretty obvious though, if you buy a new set of clubs, you should have them fitted to you. Think about it! It makes alot of sense!
This gives you a chance of hitting the ball better!!!

1st step is proper length. Some golf establishments and websites will measure you from either your finger tips, fist or wrist to the floor. This is a good start but not an accurate measurement because you might address the ball in a upright stance and I might address it with more of a crouch. I'll get your right measurement by looking at your stance and having you hit balls with different length clubs with impact labels on the face of the club!

2nd step is measuring swing speed for proper flex. There are so many people out there playing golf in the wrong flex. A lot of my business is changing shafts for people who are in the wrong flex because this is how they bought it or the club was given to them and they didn't know any better!

3rd step is the right size grip to fit your hand. If the grip does not fit you, a smaller grip could cause your bottom hand to turn over, creating a pull or hook! And larger grip could cause the opposite!

4th step is the proper lie of your club at impact. If your club is not flat at impact, you will not hit the ball as well as you should. After your clubs are built I'll check the lie and if needed, I'll bend the clubs for you while you wait!

We can also Fit you to your current clubs if you've bought them without a Fitting!

1) How long has their business been open?

2) How long has the Club Repair person been performing these functions?

3) Is he or she Certified in performing these procedures?
